Colorado 2008

This year Cathy and I met with family in Florence, Colorado for a few days, then headed out to the mountains for a week.  Mom put together this reunion since some of us cousins have never met before!  We are very glad we did, and had a wonderful time together.  Here are some pics from the reunion.

Buena Vista - On the Road

Cathy and I left on Saturday for a week of mountain time.  We took Highway 24 out of Colorado Springs over to Buena Vista, then down to Salida.  Here are some shots from around Buena Vista.

Westcliffe

We had reservations for the Alpine Lodge, just outside of Westcliffe.  Don't believe everything they say about the cabins.  The place turned out to be a bit too rustic for us.  We can be hard to please you know.  We bailed, went back into Westcliffe and after looking at a couple of unsatisfactory hotels, we chose The Courtyard Country Inn Bed & Breakfast  Nice place.  Check out their website, they have a webcam.  Wish we would have known, you guys could have caught us sitting around the place.  John and Mo will treat you right if you're so lucky as to get up that way sometime.
